As Executive Vice President and principal of Shugoll Research, Rick Seale is in charge of the strategic direction and the day-to-day operations of the Data Collection Division. Rick became interested in market research while pursuing his MBA. He enjoys developing relationships with clients and helping them fulfill their research goals. As a result, he is responsible for maintaining the high level of customer service and quality recruiting that Shugoll Research’s clients have come to expect. In fact, his uncompromising customer service and attention to detail have helped Shugoll repeatedly earn a top rating as one of the most popular research facilities in the nation. He supervises the project management staff, focus group facilities and the recruiting center. Rick is actively engaged in all aspects of data collection and works closely with the project managers to find creative solutions to even the most difficult recruiting projects.
Before joining Shugoll, Rick was a Development Associate for the Olney Theatre Corporation. He holds a BS and an MBA from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Rick is very active in the marketing research industry. He is a past president of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Marketing Research Association (MRA), has served on numerous committees for the national MRA and was a committee member involved in the development of the Code of Marketing Research Standards and the Best Business Practices guidelines currently endorsed by the MRA.
Although originally from the south, Rick is a true Washingtonian at heart and he enjoys all of the activities and opportunities that the DC area has to offer whether it’s bicycling through Rock Creek Park, enjoying a play at one of the many award-winning local theaters or trying out the latest new restaurants. Rick is always eager to share ideas with clients on ways that they can enjoy their time in the Washington metropolitan area.
